Rachel is Percy's friend and was a possible love interest who could see through the mist. Rachel led Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and Grover through the Labyrinth. She originally met Percy at a dam where he accidentally swung Riptide at her. Rachel is a mortal so she did not get hurt by the sword. She saved him from skeleton warriors at the dam and he did not meet her again until he went to Goode high school. Her parents are very wealthy but she does not like that they don't appreciate some of the things she does. During the end of the fifth book, she becomes the new oracle and tells the next great prophecy.
