Nico Di Angelo is the son of Hades which allows him to summon dead minions and know when someone has died (excluding satyrs and some magical creatures). Nico was born during World War II but his father put Nico and his sister to the Lotus Hotel until World War II ended. When they were brought out by one of the furies disguised as a lawyer, they were still young. About a year later, Grover, Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia brought Nico and his sister to Camp Half-Blood. The Hunters joined them and convinced Nico's sister, Brianca to join the hunters. Brianca died shortly after she left Camp Half-Blood to go along with a quest. Nico was so upset after hearing the news that he blamed Percy for his sister's death and left camp through the Labyrinth. He later forgave Percy and helped him become invulnerable by telling him to bathe in the Styx.
